The kick-off meeting of the cross-border cooperation project “RyTHM-fostering creativity and interconnection of cultural goods through historical monuments/Fostering Creativity and Connecting Cultural Assets through Monuments» was successfully held on 13 December 2018, in Corfu.
The project is funded for RyTHM €651,620.00 under Priority axis 2-“promoting local economy ‘ of cross-border Cooperation Programme IPA CBC II” Greece-Albania 2014-2020 ” and aims at the promotion of cooperation between cultural operators for the enhancement of important cultural existing infrastructure and capabilities, which are the monuments..
The meeting was organized by the Lead Beneficiary, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Corfu and was attended by representatives of the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Corfu and the Municipality of Finiq that complete the partnership scheme.
The main goal of the meeting was the organization of project implementation activities and the detailed presentation of interventions that will take place by each partner, with reference to timeline and outputs.
The Ephorate of Antiquities of Corfu presented the interventions that will take place for enabling accessibility in the Savorgan Bastion of the Old Fortress, in Corfu. The representatives of the Municipality of Finiq presented respectively the actions they have already implemented for the integrated design and operation of the cultural center of the Municipality of Finiq, in Livadhjia, Albania. The Municipal and Regional Theater of Corfu presented the cutlural events to be held in the renovated areas in Greece and Albania. Partners stressed the importance of the project and their cooperation for the exchange of know-how and for the promotion of their common cultural heritage.
